Sweetest Birthday Gift

I was surprised as I see this video file in my documents. I do not know if my girlfriend shot this while I was busy fixing and finishing some stuff at the kitchen on my birthday. Anyway, this is the sweetest gift of all the gifts I received on that day. And Lyle is the blessing that God has given me. I love her so much!

It's my roommate's birthday

Marco. Yes, that's his name. He used to be my dorm mate, too in Ipil Residence Hall last year. He was one of my respondents in a consumer research I did for my advertising class. I found him snobbish and that I won't mind him whenever he passes by our corridor. But I found him a very fashionable person- someone who can grab your attention just by his outfit.

This year, I must admit I was surprised that he is my room mate upon knowing my room. It was awkward, I must say that he is my room mate with the fact that I snob him at Ipil sometimes because I know he is also snobbish back then, but he welcomed me with a big smile here in our room. Now, I am blogging not on our encounter as roommates but today on his very special day- his birthday!

Marco and me on our wacky pose taken early this night.

Last night, I ordered two items at Bochi I thought that it's the easy way to get a thing for him for his birthday at exactly 12 midnight. So I waited until it was 12 and then greeted him. He said thank you. Then after a few seconds I handed him my simple gift- a Bogchi food box with a post-it above the box with "Happy 19th Birthday Marco!." I saw that he was happy, and I was happy seeing people happy. I thank God for allowing me make people happy. Anyway, he said "wow naman, thank you." I cannot count the times he said thank you last night.

Tonight, I was surprised upon seeing a Banapple Cake on my table. He gave it to me. I smiled and thanked him. I grabbed my camera and took a photo of us to show my girlfriend Lyle and also took a photo of the cake (to be posted, soon). The taste of the cake was really great! I am still eating it now and it is really great! Now I feel shy with the gift I gave him last night with this. Anyway, what matters is that I remebered his special day, right? :)

So to my roommate Marco, cheers! It is our common age, 19!

Happy birthday Ma'am Betsy!

At first I thought that she is another hybrid of terror professor in UP. I used to think that because of her beauty, she has all the rights in the world to be bitchy. But I was wrong. She is the total opposite.

She is this motherly and sometimes kabarkada professor you'll ever meet in UP. She's the only professor wherein she lost her voice for a class lecture, but went through it using a laptop and a monitor- that's how creative and resourceful this professor is!

And to this awesome and great professor, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ma'am Betsy!

Best and Birthday

After our consultation this afternoon with our professor in BC 181 for the colloquium next week, Sir Choy said that so far we are the best presenters in his class. It was also in that instant that I learned that my partner will be celebrating her birthday today! So here's for my best partner, Wang! Happy happy birthday. Super thanks to all the patience and sacrifice you had for this paper and presentation. Let's strive to maintain our being the best. Let us offer this to God! Cheers!

Birthday Still

I thought after August 14 everything will return to normal, but I was wrong.
People keep on greeting me a happy birthday message and I so appreciate it!
Just like this afternoon maybe thirty minutes ago, Jestine and Jephan approached me while I'm doing my schedule on my laptop near at the TV Studio. They greeted me a belated message.
I am so touched knowing these people have been my classmates last year in PolSci 14 and were my batchmates in UP Baguio during our first year in UP.
I so like these guys, super. As much as I like the people who made me feel special on my day!
Thank you very much guys!
I do not know how to thank you all. SUPER THANKS!

18's LAST MINUTES AND QUESTIONS

Here I am waiting for the new day to come. Waiting for a new year for me to come.
This makes me sick, knowing that I have a lot of academic stuff to do including examinations and productions.
I miss high school days especially the 14th of every August when my friends and I come to my place and celebrate my day with my fave foods served by my mom and Ate Rosie.

But college is different.
You celebrate birthday alone.
Well, thanks to your friends who make you happier on that day.
I have been thinking these past few days about my future, about the coming more birthdays to come, if God permits me to, about a lot of options that may come my way upon graduation.
On how am I going to celebrate my debut on 2013, and will I be earning on my own on that year or I am still pursuing a higher degree? Questions... questions.

Anyway, in a few minutes, I will enter my last year of being a teenager- which makes me more sad about the fact that I have not enjoyed yet my teenage life.
Well, how do you define happiness? Well, that's another question.
All I know is that I have done a lot of things that teenagers of present generation have already done, supposedly, except drugs. Well, as people say, it is the experimental phase in life wherein you delve on things which you think serve as adventures.
BUT, have I really been happy all these teenage years? Questions... questions.

Looking at my clock, I am left with 34 minutes until I become 19.
I still do not have a concrete plans on how to celebrate it.
Go to Katipunan and review for BA 101's midterms?
Go out with friends and continue what i am used to since elementary and that's celebrating my birthday with them and eating my favorite food?
Lock myself in the room and do all my assignments?
Shoot for my BC 148 production?
OR just go home in Pangasinan at home where my heart is, and spend the remaining hours of that first day of me being 19 with my dad, mom, and sister?
QUESTIONS...QUESTIONS...
